Curating
Follow This Home
I was brought on to co-curate and co-produce the group art show Follow This Home in 2015, in collaboration with Bushwick Open Studios. I aided in organizing the space, writing artist statements, titling and unifying the show and publicizing and catering three days of openings. Additionally, I coordinated and produced a collaborative staged reading of my original play Half Lives, which took place in different parts of the space and included five different directors and thirteen actors. Right in Front of You
Curated and produced staff art show at art-centered Brooklyn café Little Skips. Dealt with all artist communication including selection and presentation of pieces, commissioning and supporting new work from artists who didn’t feel they had anything suitable, and making initial and repeated contact with artists, many of whom were experiencing this as their first show. Planned hanging layout and ran installation, planned and coordinated opening reception including catering, performances and publicity. Created all curatorial materials.
