Barbara's approach to art - her own and other people's - comes from a visceral understanding of why it matters and how it works. She is a pragmatic, sensitive producer, skilled in managing emergencies, and singularly dedicated to taking care of both art and the people interacting with it. It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to work with her.

It’s a drag to make art without Barbara. I’ve been recruiting her as a costumer, actor, director, dramaturg, sounding board, and therapist for the better part of a decade, and I don’t plan to stop until she’s out of my price range. I bring her on when I need someone to make my voice sound more like my own, or when I need someone to make bold choices that I wouldn’t, or when I need someone to hold together a chaotic room, or when I just need someone fun to keep me company.
